Our Products
PATHOLOGIES
Two main structural foot types are distinguished: the cavus foot (high-arched foot) and the flat foot. The cavus foot is characterized by an excessive arch, while the flat foot shows a collapsed medial arch.
These structural patterns may be associated with alignment deviations: valgus (inward collapse of the foot) and varus (elevation of the medial border with outward deviation of the foot).
It is also possible to have a structurally normal foot with isolated alignment deviation. In this case, it is referred to as a physiological valgus or varus foot, with valgus being more common and varus less frequent.
These different foot types can lead to various biomechanical overloads, often resulting in pain and musculoskeletal disorders.
